What is the selection process in TSPSC ?
Importantly the selection process is different for different groups. Moreover there is different stage of selection process.
- Moreover TSPSC Group I exam is a three-stage selection process that includes a preliminary exam, a main exam, and an interview.
- Whereas TSPSC Group II exam is a two-stage selection process that includes a written exam and an interview.
- Also TSPSC Group III exam is a two-stage selection process that includes a written exam and an interview. The written exam is further divided into two papers – Paper I and Paper II.
- Furthermore TSPSC Group IV exam is a one-stage selection process that includes a written exam.
Eligibility for TSPSC exam
As a fact the eligibility criteria for TSPSC exams varies depending on the exam. Also it depends on its vacancy post requirement. But there are some general eligibility criteria for most of the TSPSC exams:
Nationality:
To be true candidates must be a citizen of India. Else a subject of Nepal/Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of settling permanently in India.
Age Limit:
As directed by government the minimum age limit to appear for most of the TSPSC exams is 18 years. Furthermore the maximum age limit is usually 44 years. However, age relaxation is provided for candidates belonging to certain categories such as SC/ST, OBC, and PWD.
Educational Qualification:
For sure sandidates must possess a minimum educational qualification of a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a recognized university. The educational qualification required for specific exams may vary.
Physical Fitness:
Candidates must meet the physical fitness standards set by the TSPSC.
