Why the name September ?
The name “September” is derived from the Latin word “septem,” which means “seven.” In the ancient Roman calendar, September was originally the seventh month of the year.
However, when the Roman calendar was reformed by Julius Caesar in 45 BCE, two additional months, January and February, were added to the beginning of the year. This adjustment shifted September to become the ninth month.
